About

PNS-square

I love everything about photography – working with assistants, models, make-up artists, hair stylists etc etc. I enjoy the planning and styling of scenarios. I get a kick out of interacting with everyone involved on shoot day, and then the images that finally emerge.

As I do not aim to make a living out of photography, I choose what I want to photograph. It is really important to me that everyone has a fun time and a rewarding experience.

As you can see from my website, I specialise in what might be termed fashion portraiture and related subjects such as jewellery and the performing arts. After photographing for some 20 years as an amateur, I adopted a professional approach in 2009 and qualified as a Licentiate of the British Institute of Professional Photography in 2011.

I am based in Battersea, Central London. I do not have my own studio because I find it more flexible to hire a variety of locations, depending on the requirements of a particular shoot.

In recent years I have become a bit besotted with Hollywood glamour styled images using continuous hard light and sometimes film. I really enjoy out of the ordinary projects which might range from a one-day shoot to a project over a whole year.  If you have ideas which you think might fit with what you can see I do, I would be happy to give them careful consideration.
